MARTAN offers circular fashion, ingeniously transforming discarded textiles from the luxury hotel industry into unique, vibrant designs. Blurring the lines between ready-to-wear fashion, artistry, and sustainability, the brand seamlessly integrates these elements into its designs.
At the end of the first day of Amsterdam Fashion Week, MARTAN, a fashion label from Amsterdam, put on a big show. They revealed their largest collection (SS24) made from recycled materials yet, showing how committed they are to being eco-friendly. Their fashion journey started at Amsterdam Fashion Week. Last year, they showcased their first collection made for sale at the Grand Hotel Amrâth Amsterdam. This year’s show was even bigger and more intense. The clothes in MARTAN’s Spring-Summer ’24 collection were all made from old hotel bed linens. The designs had a lot of inspiration from the sea, with nets, shapes like marine life, and knots used in sailing. Some shirts and belts looked like crumpled bedding.
So good news, this collection is now available online, go and check out their webshop! Source images: MARTAN
